Friends of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site welcomes volunteers to assist in many administrative, practical and participatory activities that help support daily activities such as school tours, special events, shop displays, inventory planning and preparation of special products relative to this Site such as seeds, handmade objects, and children’s packets.
Volunteers also participate in our podcast programs and e-commerce fulfillment. They help organize and implement gallery shows and celebrations. They work in our public booths at Campfire & Candle Light and the Fourth of July.
To volunteer with the Friends, please contact us or visit or call the Friends’ Shop in the Visitor Center (360) 816-6216.
As an organization, we encourage and support other volunteer activities at the Site including gardeners, re-enactors, costumed presenters, and the skilled demonstrators in the blacksmith, carpentry and trade guilds. To become a National Park Service volunteer, please contact the Fort Vancouver National Park Service website or talk with a ranger at the Site. You are also welcome to let us know about your interests so that we may connect you with volunteer opportunities.
