Please join the Friends of the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Vintage Books, and the National Park Service on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for a book signing and talk with Jane Kirkpatrick, widely-known and cherished historical novelist.
The event will be held at the Visitor Center, Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 1501 East Evergreen Boulevard, Vancouver, WA. Admission is free. Come dressed as your favorite Jane Kirkpatrick book character if you like!
About the book
Jennie Lichtenthaler Pickett became one of the first physicians trained in Oregon. She graduated from Willamette Medical School in 1879 and practiced in both Salem and Portland in the late Nineteenth Century.
Jennie Pickett Parrish is a natural healer, but her dream to become a doctor in 1870's Oregon puts her at odds with the world around her. As she struggles to keep her dream alive, she finds that the road to fulfillment winds past love, heartache, and plenty of surprises along the way.
About the author
