Juneko Martinson Felting Workshop: Bluebird & Nest

Juneko Martinson Felting Workshop: Bluebird & Nest

juneko martinson felted crittersJuneko Martinson is a featured artist in the Friends’ Bookshop and Gallery in the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center. The shop carries a generous selection of her handmade “critters.” Ms. Martinson is a recognized master artist in fiber art and she offers these wonderful workshops with kits included to develop or enhance personal skills with felting. Each workshop is a new adventure for participants ages 12 and up.

Juneko raises alpaca and sheep on a small farm in Brush Prairie, WA, where she observes firsthand the habits and expressions of domestic and wild animals. This is often reflected in her artwork. The animals and birds Juneko creates for the Friends’ Shop at Fort Vancouver reflect the myriads of native wildlife, livestock and pets of this historic site over hundreds of years.

Juneko processes wool and fibers on her small farm, carding and coloring them with fascinating natural dyes. The kits are designed and assembled by the artist.

Registration is $40 per workshop. All workshops are held in the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center conference room from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This includes instruction and the fiber art kit for the selected project for the registered date. (Registration is non-refundable and each registrant will receive a kit for that workshop.)

Register in the Friends’ Bookshop or by calling 360-816-6216. Payment is expected at the time of registration. Hurry—space is limited to 12 people per workshop.
